45 Minute Expansive Breath and Body
Postures in this class will focus on creating space in the side body. By opening up through this often neglected area, you will likely experience better capacity to breathe deeply. The diaphragm is a muscle that supports our ability to breathe, and built up tension down our sides can restrict this muscle from working optimally, resulting in shallower breaths. Being able to have full, deep breaths can activate the parasympathetic nervous system which tells the body that it can ‘rest’ and be more at ease.
